Amenities, Activities, Responsibilities and Cost
The monthly fee includes the following:
Each day spent at Come Rest Awhile is one day closer toward the goal of transitioning into an independent life in recovery.
We encourage our residents to either enroll in school, work or volunteer in the community.
In their first month at Come Rest Awhile it is encouraged that residents attend 30 twelve step meetings in 30 days and work the program with another woman in recovery. After the first month, it is required that residents attend at least three twelve step meetings per week.
The goal of Come Rest Awhile is to foster responsibility to self and others, build a sense of community and a clear recognition of who we are, followed by an attempt to become what we can be - all of which enhances the chance of long term, successful recovery.
To encourage responsibility and foster a 'family' like environment, residents take turns cooking dinners and help with all household chores. Dinnertime together gives everyone a chance to catch up and get to know each other.
The house offers mentoring from live-in management as well as staff and volunteers who are in recovery and committed to providing a safe, secure environment for all.
